Post Berlin Bloods

After Berlin I felt I recovered quite quickly. Two weeks afterwards I was back running the county senior cross country feeling fine.

I haven’t really changed anything with my diet over the year. I am pretty much vegetarian 99% of the time, bordering on vegan. I think that I function best on a high carbohydrate diet, I had this all figured out about 10 years ago but I seemed to forget it when I got injured went cycling and started listening to strength and conditioning gurus.

A typical Monday to Friday at work looks something like this.

0745-0800: Two Espressos

0830-9300: First Run

1000: Porridge made with water, yogurt, blueberries and a apple and ginger compote

1330: Beetroot and Brie Sandwich with Carrot Salad

1600: Fulfil Bar

1830-2000: Second Run

2030: Fulfil Bar

2100: Nutburger in Ciabatta Bread with Beetroot Hummus and Bread

2130: Snack of Crisps

Weekend:

Same just add a few croissants and bean brownies.

Supplements and Drugs

I take 150mcg of Throxine in the morning with a yakult and two probiotics

In the evening I take a Galfer and an Active Iron Tablet

My blood test results seem to be fairly stable. The only real significant change is my Vitamin B12 which has dropped since stopping Berocca, I have a theory that too much B12 is bad.

I won’t change anything as I think it’s working whatever it is.
